Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your NexCloud account by requiring a verification code when you sign in.

Step 1 — Open Account Settings

Log in to your NexCloud Client Area and open Account Settings.

Step 2 — Open Security Settings

Navigate to the Security or Two-Factor Authentication section. Select Enable 2FA to begin the setup.

Step 3 — Scan the QR Code

Open an authenticator app on your phone, such as:
  • Google Authenticator
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Authy
Scan the QR code displayed on your NexCloud account.

Step 4 — Enter the Verification Code

Your authenticator app will generate a temporary verification code. Enter the current code and password in the NexCloud 2FA setup page and confirm the setup.

Step 5 — Save Your Recovery Codes

After enabling 2FA, NexCloud will provide recovery codes. Store these codes somewhere secure. They can be used to regain access to your account if you lose access to your authenticator.
Important: Never share your 2FA codes or recovery codes with anyone, including NexCloud staff.

2FA Is Now Enabled

Your NexCloud account is now protected with Two-Factor Authentication. The next time you sign in, you may be asked to enter a verification code from your authenticator app.
